At Ramps Plus we offer a wide range of Wheelchair Ramps, Access Ramps, Threshold Ramps, Step Units, Handrails and Grab rails throughout Kilkenny and across Ireland.  On this page we have put together some useful information relevant to Kilkenny including the areas we cover, Government Grants available and points of contact.

 

There are 2 Grants available in relation to Wheelchair Ramps.  The Mobility Aids Grant and the Housing Adaptation Grant.  Both of these are applied for via the Council, and you should ring through to the Housing Department, Grants Section (details below) to talk to those who specifically work in the grant funded area – the guys and girls there will help you in the process.

 

The entire Grant system is generally quite slow, not just in Kilkenny, but for that reason we do sell our fair share of Access Solutions privately.  More often than not its the time taken to actually attain the grant – that pushes home owners towards a private purchase for either a New, Partly New or 2nd hand option.
